Description
Our client, a substantial international company, is actively seeking to expand their successful crankcase R&D team which is involved with the formulation, development and modification, of automotive lubricant additives.
The core roles will be to initiate and lead projects to research and develop new crankcase products to meet changing market and requirements. In addition to the base R&D role you will collaborate extensively with colleagues in marketing and component technology, as well as with Industry bodies to assess legislative, environmental and market needs in Europe on lubricant product demands and translate this information into substantive in house research projects.
The positions will suit chemists, chemical engineers or other physical scientists who will enjoy devising innovative solutions to formulation challenges. To do this you will deploy your high level knowledge of chemistry, and components and work with the team to test the results.
A background in the formulation of engine oils and additives is desirable but if you have experience in other areas of lubrication and tribology or a transferable scientific knowledge base this could also be of interest.
