Description
A leading European power exchange organisation is expanding their operations in the UK and wants a sales and business development executive, ideally familiar with electricity trading, to join them. The key activity of the company relates to facilitating the physical trading of electricity and providing pricing references for the subsequent establishment of futures, forwards and options trades.
The role involves strengthening and expanding relationships with key UK based energy industry participants, and to proactively identify and develop opportunities with new customers. As the primary UK representative of the company you will need to have a good existing knowledge of the UK energy industry and market, and the ability to use your contacts to help achieve the sales and marketing goals. As a sales professional you will naturally have the drive and enthusiasm to use your knowledge and experience of the sector to convert leads into satisfied additional customers.
To be able to function effectively it is probable that you will be familiar with electricity or utilities trading markets and mechanisms, understand the role and function of exchanges, and have a good perspective of the power industry in the UK and Europe. In addition you will have a relevant sales or business development track record and enjoy participating in the sales cycle, both operationally and strategically.
